Delrin Bearing Casters

Delrin is an acetal plastic. A Delrin bearing is a solid plastic bushing instead of a steel ball or roller bearing. It cannot rust, needs no lubrication, and resists water and many chemicals, making it ideal for washdown and wet environments.

Steel bearings rust in wet conditions and need grease that can wash out or contaminate products. Delrin bearings do neither. They are maintenance-free and corrosion-proof, which is why they are standard in food, pharmaceutical, and washdown applications.

These range from about 140 to 1,250 lbs per caster depending on wheel size and material. Delrin bearings suit light to medium loads. For very heavy loads, a precision ball or roller bearing carries more, but Delrin wins on corrosion resistance and zero maintenance.
