Individual 2 Series casters support approximately 75 lbs to 250 lbs depending on wheel material and bearing type. For a four-caster piece of furniture, this translates to roughly 225 lbs to 750 lbs total load using the three-caster calculation. Most furniture and light cart applications fall well within this range.

Grip ring stems are the most common for metal and plastic furniture sockets. Threaded stems suit equipment with threaded inserts or nuts. Friction ring stems press-fit into smooth-bore sockets. Measure the socket diameter and type on your existing furniture and match it to the stem specifications listed for each 2 Series model.

Choose soft rubber or thermoplastic rubber wheels for hardwood, tile, laminate, and other finished floors. These materials are non-marking and distribute load across a wider contact patch to prevent indentation. Avoid hard nylon or hard rubber wheels on finished floors, as they can leave marks or dent soft surfaces under load.

Yes. Many 2 Series models are available with side-mount or top-mount wheel brakes. For furniture that needs to stay in place when loaded (such as medical equipment stands or printer carts), a brake option prevents unwanted rolling on smooth floors.
