About This Caster - ER8X2PODD

Set this 8-inch polypropylene rigid on the fixed corners of a heavy wash-down cart that rolls wet over the roughest ground with no greasing.

The Delrin acetal bearing needs no grease and cannot rust, so it keeps turning in a wash-down or food bay that would seize a steel bearing, and it runs quiet. The USA-made polypropylene wheel matches it, ignoring water and cleaners, and at 8 inches, the largest in the E-line, it clears expansion joints and broken concrete. The hard wheel rides firm with no cushion, the trade for an all-plastic corner that takes wet and skipped maintenance. Being rigid it tracks straight, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, and holds from -45 to 180°F.
