About This Caster - ES5X2TPDTBK
Set this 5-inch swivel on the steering corners of a quiet-area cart that crosses seams and then has to hold, where the soft taller wheel runs silent and the brake locks the wheel.
The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions floor seams. The roller bearing carries the weight under the swivel, the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still while the swivel still turns, and at 5 inches the wheel steers easier over seams. The 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck.
