About This Caster - ES4X2PHNTBK
Set this 4-inch phenolic swivel on the steering corners of a low oily-floor cart that steers and then has to hold, where a roller bearing carries the load and the brake locks the wheel.
The wheel is hard resin-bonded phenolic from Pemco: it carries a heavy load on a small footprint, rolls with low resistance, and shrugs off oil, grease, and solvent from -45°F to 250°F. The roller bearing carries the weight under the swivel, the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still while the swivel still turns, and the black phenolic wheel bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate on a low deck.

- Low phenolic wheel braked on an oily plant floor
On a finished floor the hard phenolic marks; a braked poly-on-iron ES4X2MOPTBK rolls non-marking instead.
