Set this 8-inch Empire 170 soft-tread swivel with an FBC face brake on the heaviest economical cart corner that maneuvers in tight space, then parks and holds with a cushioned ride.

A face brake presses a shoe against the wheel to stop it, holding the heaviest loaded cart on its spot. The FBC brake is the alternate face-brake style with a tighter swivel radius, for a heavy cart that turns in close quarters. The 80A tread is a softer 80 Shore A polyurethane that absorbs shock and runs quieter than the firm green PM, gentler on delicate loads, while carrying up to 1,500 pounds at this size. At 8 inches the large wheel clears the biggest obstacles, the butterscotch round polyurethane is non-marking, and the PM build is kingpinless with no central kingpin to loosen. It steers on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
