Set this 8-inch Empire 170 rigid on a fixed corner of the heaviest economical cart that needs a softer, cushioned ride over the worst floors.

This is the 80A version: a softer 80 Shore A polyurethane tread that absorbs more shock and runs quieter than the firm green PM, gentler on delicate loads and finished floors while still carrying up to 1,500 pounds at this size. At 8 inches the large wheel clears the biggest obstacles, and the butterscotch round polyurethane is non-marking. The PM build is kingpinless with no central kingpin to loosen. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
