About This Caster - ES6X2CIRTBK
Choose this 6-inch cast iron swivel for a cart that rides into an oven or a bake line and back, the heat that melts an elastomer tread the first time the wheel takes a flat at temperature.
The wheel is solid cast iron, rated to 600°F, so it holds its round and keeps rolling where polyurethane and rubber soften and deform. The 6-inch diameter clears bake-rack and oven thresholds, the tread-lock brake holds the rack in the oven, and the roller bearing carries the load. The trade is a hard wheel that marks floors and rolls loud, which is the right call in a bakery, not a quiet corridor.
Ideal applications
- Bakery and commercial oven racks rolled through the bake cycle, to 600°F
- Heat-treat and cure-oven carts, sustained high ambient
- Drying-line racks parked in the oven with the brake set, hard floor
Skip cast iron if the cart works a finished floor at room temperature; the hard wheel marks and clatters, so a TUM polyurethane or phenolic E-line wheel suits cooler, cleaner duty.
