Specify this 2.5-inch conductive Performa rubber rigid for the fixed corners of a cart in an electronics or flammable-atmosphere area, the caster whose conductive tread drains static charge to ground instead of letting it build.

The conductive tread is the whole reason to choose this over the standard Performa caster: it carries a controlled electrical path so static does not accumulate on the cart and discharge as a spark, which protects ESD-sensitive electronics and prevents ignition in a solvent or fuel area. The wheel keeps the soft, quiet, non-marking ride of the standard Performa, and the ball bearing carries the busy duty. The leg is fixed so the cart tracks straight. The top plate bolts to a flat frame.
