About This Caster - ET5X2TUM
Specify this 5-inch total-lock swivel for a cart or rolling rig that has to be parked and stay completely still, where a wheel-only brake leaves the cart free to pivot around a planted wheel and drift out of place.
The total lock is the difference: one pedal action locks the wheel and the swivel together, so the cart cannot roll and cannot rotate, which matters for equipment that has to hold a fixed position. The Pemco TPU polyurethane wheel on a polypropylene core carries the load non-marking, and the roller bearing handles a loaded rig under the swivel.
Ideal applications
- Rolling equipment and workstations that lock in a fixed position, finished floor
- Carts parked on a slight grade that must not pivot or drift, sealed concrete
- Assembly and test rigs held square at a station, multi-shift
Skip the total lock if you only need to stop the wheel and want the cart to still pivot into place; a tread-lock brake version costs less and brakes the wheel only.
