Pick this 5-inch E-line swivel for the braked front of a heavier everyday cart, the wide-tread TPR caster whose roller bearing carries the load while a tread lock holds the taller wheel at a stop.
The swivel steers the cart, the roller bearing carries the E-line load at a walk for less than a precision bore, and the tread lock clamps the wheel so a loaded cart holds at the bench. The 5-inch diameter rolls a longer run and clears a thicker seam than a 4-inch, the 4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck, and the wider 2-inch Pemco TPR rubber on a polypropylene core stays soft and quiet with no marks.
Ideal applications
- Braked front of heavier everyday carts
- Loaded rigs that need a wheel stop on a taller front
- Thicker seams a braked 5-inch swivel clears
Skip the TPR wheel if the cart loads near the top of its range or works near heat over 180°F; a TPU polyurethane or cast iron caster takes the load where soft rubber softens.
