About This Caster - ES5X2PODD
Pick this 5-inch swivel for a hard-wheel cart that runs wash-down or a damp area and needs more threshold clearance than a 4-inch wheel.
The 5-inch diameter clears a higher seam, and the Delrin plain bearing runs without lubrication and resists corrosion, so it stays smooth where moisture or cleaning chemicals would foul a roller bearing. The wheel is a USA-made polyolefin, a hard black tread that resists moisture and chemicals from -45 to 180°F, and it bolts down through the standard E-line 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate. It runs quiet at a moderate load.
Ideal applications
- 5-inch wash-down carts where a greased bearing would foul
- Maintenance-free Delrin clearing seams with no axle to lube
- 5-inch hard polyolefin wheels in clean and food-area service
