About This Caster - AS50G1PODSB

Use this 5-inch A-Line swivel on a stem-socket cart that has to stop rolling on a slope but lives in a wet or chemical bay.

The side brake is a foot lever on the side of the wheel that presses a shoe onto the tread to stop it rolling; it holds the wheel while the swivel still turns, which is enough to keep a parked cart from creeping on a grade. The wheel is the same tough black polyolefin that ignores wash-down water and cleaners on a Delrin bearing that will not rust, and it mounts on a 7/16-inch grip ring stem. The A-Line is rated to 350 pounds per caster from -45 to 180°F.

Ideal applications

• Stem-socket carts that must hold on a slope in a wet bay
• Side-lever wheel brake stopping the roll on a polyolefin tread
• Chemical and wash-down areas where the wheel can't swell
