About This Socket - RT120RD
Add this caster socket to a round tube leg with a 0.777-inch inside diameter so a 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster can drop straight in, where the tube has no built-in receiver for a stem.
The socket presses into the tube and gives a sized receiver that holds the stem of a 7/16-inch grip-ring caster, so a chair, table, or equipment leg built from round tube can take a caster without welding or a new plate. This is the smallest tube in the RT12x range, sized for a 0.777-inch inside diameter; measure your tube's inside diameter and match the socket to it, because a socket that is too loose will not hold the load.
Ideal applications
- Round tube legs measuring 0.777 inches inside diameter
- A 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster pressed into round tube
- Converting a fixed tube-leg base into a rolling one
If your tube measures a different inside diameter, step up to the 0.872-inch RT123RD or the 0.902-inch RT125RD and match the socket to your tube.
Pairs with: the 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster that drops into it. See the Shepherd collection.
Wrong fit? Larger tube or a flat frame? See the larger RT126RD socket and top-plate casters in the Shepherd collection.
Also in this family: the 0.872-inch RT123RD, or the full Shepherd collection.
