Set this 4-inch cast iron rigid on the back corners of a hot, heavy cart that gets towed or pushed in a straight line, where a swivel would shimmy under the pull and a soft wheel would melt near the heat.

A rigid caster does not pivot, so it tracks straight and holds the line when a cart is towed down a long run or pushed against a load that would set a swivel wandering. The grey cast iron wheel carries a hard, heavy load and holds from -100 to 800°F, and Albion's 110 Contender frame brings the same heat-treated, kingpinless toughness to the rigid corners. The roller bearing rolls the weight at a slow pace.
