About This Caster - PRE40120ZN-TPRB
Use this 4-inch Regent swivel on the corner of a flat-framed cart that rolls quiet and then has to hold its spot once parked.
A tread-lock brake sits at the wheel, and a press of the pedal puts a shoe on the tread to stop it rolling, so a cart left on a sloped or busy floor will not drift. It bolts down through a 2-5/8 by 3-3/4 inch top plate for a flat frame. The wheel is a soft grey thermoplastic rubber on a polyolefin core, a 1-inch tread that rolls near-silent and non-marking from -40 to 180°F. The brake holds the wheel, leaving the swivel free to point.
Ideal applications
- Top-plate corners that must lock on a sloped or busy floor
- Quiet institutional carts parked without a separate floor chock
- Food-service and electronics rigs held still on a finished floor
If the corner only ever rolls, the plain PRE40120ZN-TPR drops the brake and the extra width.
