About This Caster - ET8X2MOP

Set this 8-inch total-lock swivel on the corners of a heavy cart that crosses dock plates and then has to park dead-still, where the tall wheel bridges the gaps and any drift once set is a problem.

The total lock pins the wheel and the swivel together in one pedal, so the loaded cart cannot roll or rotate around a planted wheel once it is set. The wheel molds a polyurethane tread onto a cast iron core from Pemco: the iron carries the heavy load without plastic-core flex, and the red poly tread keeps the roll non-marking. The 8-inch diameter clears dock plates and debris that stop a shorter wheel, the roller bearing carries the weight, and the 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck. The tread holds to 180°F.
