About This Caster - ES8X2MOPTBK
Choose this 8-inch braked swivel for a heavy cart that carries a serious load, rolls over rough floor, and then has to lock in place, the rig where a poly-on-plastic wheel runs out of capacity.
The wheel molds a polyurethane tread onto a cast iron core: the iron carries the heavy load without the flex a plastic core shows, while the poly tread keeps the roll non-marking on finished floors. The 8-inch diameter clears dock plates and debris, the tread-lock brake holds the loaded cart still, and the roller bearing carries the weight under the swivel.
Ideal applications
- Heavy loaded transport carts parked for loading, sealed concrete
- Big rigs that cross rough floor then hold under weight, shop or dock
- High-load carts needing a non-marking tread and a brake, multi-shift
Skip the cast iron core if the load is moderate and weight matters; a TUM poly-on-plastic swivel is lighter and easier to push at a lower rating.
