About This Caster - ET4X2TPD
Set this 4-inch total-lock swivel on the corners of a low quiet-area cart that has to park dead-still and cannot drift or pivot, where a wheel-only brake would leave the cart free to swing.
The total lock pins the wheel and the swivel together in one pedal, so the loaded cart cannot roll or rotate around a planted wheel once it is set. The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core, a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions floor seams. The roller bearing carries the weight, the low 4-inch deck stays close to the floor, and the 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck.
Ideal applications
- Low quiet-area carts parked dead-still on a ramp
- Total lock pinning a 4-inch soft-tread swivel against drift
- Cushioned tread silent under a low parked cart
Skip the total lock if you only need to stop the wheel and still pivot the cart; a tread-lock ES4X2TPDTBK brakes the wheel alone.
