About This Caster - ER4X2TPD
Set this 4-inch rigid on the back corners of a cart that rolls a finished floor in a quiet space, where a soft cushioned tread has to run silent, leave no marks, and protect the load from floor shock.
The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions floor seams and bumps that a hard wheel would transmit to the load. At 4 inches the deck rides low, the rigid fork holds the cart tracking straight, and the roller bearing carries the weight on a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate. The tread holds to 180°F.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of quiet-area carts on a finished floor
- Soft donut tread cushioning the load over floor seams
- Low 4-inch deck rolling silent and non-marking
For a heavier load or lower rolling effort, a poly-on-iron ER4X2MOP carries more on a harder non-marking tread, though it rides firmer.
