About This Caster - ES6X2PHNTBK
Set this 6-inch phenolic swivel on the steering corners of a heavy oven-line cart that crosses a rough hot floor, steers, and then has to hold once parked.
The wheel is hard resin-bonded phenolic from Pemco: it carries a heavy load on a small footprint, shrugs off oil and solvent, and holds from -45°F to 250°F for an oven or bakery line. The tall 6-inch wheel rolls over seams and debris, the swivel turns on a roller bearing so the cart steers, and the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold it still. The black phenolic wheel bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate.
Ideal applications
- Steering corners of heavy oven-line carts on a hot floor
- Tall 6-inch wheel clearing seams on a hot floor
- Tread lock to hold a hot-line cart at 250°F
If the floor is finished or a softer ride matters, the hard phenolic is wrong; a braked poly-on-iron ES6X2MOPTBK rolls non-marking and cushioned.
