About This Caster - ES5X2PODCAMS
Choose this 5-inch swivel when an economical hard-wheel cart clears thresholds, is braked often, and needs a brake the operator can set easily with a foot.
The 5-inch diameter clears a higher seam than a 4-inch wheel, and the 5-inch cam brake carries a longer lever than a tread lock, so a tap of the foot rotates the cam to press the shoe on the wheel and releases it just as easily. The wheel is a USA-made polyolefin, a hard black tread that resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, the roller bearing carries a medium-heavy load, and it bolts down through the standard E-line 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate.

- Cam lever for an easy foot-set lock on a seam-clearing wheel
- 5-inch roller-bearing corners that clear seams and park often
For a compact wheel brake instead of the long cam lever, the tread-lock ES5X2PODBTBK sets with a smaller pedal on a ball bearing.
