About This Caster - ES4X2TPRCAMS
Specify this 4-inch E-line swivel for a cart that has to lock firm with one foot tap, the wide-tread TPR caster whose 5-inch cam brake presses a shoe to the wheel with more positive grip than a flip-lever stop.
A cam brake is a long foot pedal that drives a cam against the wheel in one stomp, so it sets harder and holds more positively than a tread-lock flip lever, which a cart that must not budge needs, and the 5-inch cam gives the pedal reach to set it by foot. The roller bearing carries the E-line load at a walk, the 4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck, and the wider 2-inch Pemco TPR rubber on a polypropylene core stays soft and quiet with no marks.

- Stations where a positive cam grip beats a flip lever
- Low bolt-on decks that cannot be allowed to budge
Skip the TPR wheel if the cart loads near the top of its range or works near heat over 180°F; a TPU polyurethane or cast iron caster stands up where soft rubber sets.
