About This Caster - ES4X2CIRTBK
Choose this 4-inch cast iron swivel for a low oven rack or heat-line cart that has to keep its deck height down and still survive the temperatures that destroy a polymer wheel.
At 4 inches it keeps the rack low enough to slide into a smaller oven, while the solid cast iron wheel holds to 600°F where rubber and polyurethane soften and flat-spot. The tread-lock brake holds the rack in place at temperature, and the roller bearing carries the load. Like all cast iron wheels it marks floors and rolls loud, which is the accepted trade in a bake or heat-treat line.
Ideal applications
- Low-profile oven and proofing racks, to 600°F, hard floor
- Compact heat-treat and cure carts in smaller ovens, sustained heat
- Bake-line rigs where deck height is tight and heat is high, multi-shift
