About This Caster - ER5X2TPRBTBK
Choose this 5-inch E-line rigid for the braked back corner of a long tow cart that parks on a grade, the fixed TPR caster whose tread lock holds the taller rear while a precision ball bearing rolls cool when released.
A rigid caster tracks straight, and the tread lock clamps the rear wheel so a tow cart parked on a slope cannot roll back, while the precision ball bearing runs cool and true under the pull. The 5-inch diameter rolls the rear over a longer run than a 4-inch, the 4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck, and the wider 2-inch Pemco TPR rubber on a polypropylene core stays soft and quiet with no marks.
Ideal applications
- Braked back corners of long tow carts on a slope
- Taller rears that hold against roll-back
- Cool precision roll under a braked 5-inch rear
Skip the TPR wheel if the cart loads near the top of its range or works near heat over 180°F; a TPU polyurethane or cast iron caster holds firm where rubber sets.
