About This Caster - AS40T1POD
Choose this 4-inch A-line swivel when a leg has a shallow 1/2-13 threaded socket that a longer stem would bottom out in.
The 1-inch threaded stem seats fully in a shallow insert or a thin frame where the 1-1/2-inch version runs out of room, and it snugs down with a nut for a positive mount that will not work loose. The wheel is a hard polyolefin on a polypropylene core, a black tread that rolls easy and resists moisture from -45 to 180°F, and the Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free. It is the short-stem economical rolling corner of the A-line.
Ideal applications
- Shallow 1/2-13 sockets where a 1-1/2-inch stem bottoms out
- Thin frames that take only a 1-inch threaded stem
- Economical hard polyolefin wheels on a short-stem mount
Where the socket runs deeper, the longer 1-1/2-inch-stem AS40T2POD grabs more thread.
