About This Caster - D4.08109.839 RW SS WB29
Use this 8-inch Defender D4 swivel when a loaded sterilization or retort cart steers through steam and high heat, clears the biggest obstacles, and travels slowly.
The swivel head steers the front of the cart, with a 6.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the roller bearing gives that swivel the highest capacity of the three bearings at a slow, controlled pace. The blue hi-temp retort polypropylene wheel rides through autoclave and food-processing retort cycles where heat and steam would soften an elastomer, holding to 250°F and resisting sterile-processing chemicals. The tallest 8-inch wheel clears the widest cracks and big obstacles, on a stainless steel frame for wash-down service. The wheel is hard with no cushioning and can mark a soft floor. It serves from -45 to 250°F.
