About This Caster - D4.04109.539 SS WB29
Go with this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a maxed-out chemical-area cart has to both carry weight and steer.
The swivel head puts the steering at the front of the cart, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the roller bearing gives that swivel the highest capacity of the three bearings, carrying serious weight at a slow, controlled pace. The Maxim glass-filled nylon wheel brings the top of the nylon load range to the steering corner, resisting chemicals and moisture while standing up to heavy point loads. The stainless steel frame suits corrosive, sprayed-down service. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning and can mark a soft floor, so this is the heavy-load steering caster for hard surfaces, not for a soft ride. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
