About This Caster - D4.04109.531 SS
Reach for this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a damp cart needs to steer and run completely maintenance-free.
The swivel guides the front of the cart through tight clinical or chemical-area spaces, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the Delrin plain bearing keeps both wheel and swivel grease-free and corrosion-proof where water and chemicals would ruin a packed bearing. The Maxim glass-filled nylon wheel resists chemicals and moisture and stands up to heavy point loads thanks to its glass-fiber reinforcement, though the Delrin bearing keeps the working load lighter than the wheel alone could take. The stainless steel frame backs it up for wash-down service. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning and can scuff a soft floor, so this is the grease-free steering caster for clean, damp areas on hard flooring. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
