About This Caster - D4.04108.531 SS
Pick this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a damp cart wants a strong chemical-resistant wheel on a bearing that needs no service.
The Delrin plain bearing runs grease-free and corrosion-proof, with nothing to wash out in a sprayed-down bay, and stays quiet under the lighter loads it is meant for, which keeps the working load below what the Maxim wheel alone could carry. That wheel is Maxim glass-filled nylon, Colson's glass-fiber-reinforced grade that resists chemicals and moisture and holds up under heavy point loads. The stainless steel frame suits wet, chemical areas, and the rigid mount tracks straight at the rear. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning and can scratch a soft floor, so this combines a tough wheel with low upkeep rather than a smooth ride. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
