Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a cart carries serious weight and needs a strong, chemical-resistant wheel that rolls at a fair clip.
The wheel is heavy-duty glass-filled nylon, nylon reinforced with glass fiber and built for the upper end of the load range, so it takes heavy point loads without deforming and resists chemicals and moisture without absorbing water. The pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling smoothly on faster, frequent trips and tow lines, and the stainless steel frame handles corrosive, sprayed-down bays. Glass-filled nylon is a hard wheel with no cushioning, so it passes floor shock straight through and can scratch a soft finished floor. This is the strength-and-capacity caster for hard surfaces, chosen for load and chemical resistance rather than a quiet ride. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
