About This Wheel - D4.04108.831 DT SS
Pick this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a damp cart wants a strong, chemical-resistant wheel on a bearing that needs no maintenance.
The wheel is heavy-duty glass-filled nylon, stiffened with glass fiber to take heavy point loads and resist chemicals and moisture without absorbing water. The Delrin plain bearing runs grease-free and corrosion-proof, with nothing to wash out in a sprayed-down bay, though that bearing keeps the working load lighter than the wheel alone could carry. The stainless steel frame suits wet, chemical areas, and the rigid mount tracks straight at the rear of the cart. Glass-filled nylon is hard and unforgiving, giving no cushioning and able to scratch a soft floor, so this combines a tough wheel with low upkeep rather than a smooth ride. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
