About This Caster - D4.04108.835 HTBLK SS
Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a cart needs a strong, chemical-resistant hard wheel and rolls at a fair clip.
The wheel is glass-filled nylon, nylon reinforced with glass fiber for extra strength and stiffness, so it carries a high load for its size and resists chemicals and moisture without absorbing water. The pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling smoothly on faster, frequent trips and tow lines, and the stainless steel frame handles corrosive, sprayed-down bays. Glass-filled nylon is a hard wheel with no cushioning, so it passes floor shock straight through and can scratch a soft finished floor. This is the caster for strength and chemical resistance on a hard surface, not for a quiet or soft ride. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
