About This Caster - D4.04109.459 COND SS WB29
Reach for this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel when a heavier cart must both steer and drain static in an ESD-sensitive or flammable workspace.
The swivel guides the front of the cart through tight bays, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to allow, while the roller bearing gives that swivel the highest capacity of the three bearings, carrying weight at a slow, controlled pace. The conductive flat-tread Performa wheel carries static charge from the cart down through the caster to ground, protecting electronics and reducing spark risk near solvents or dust. The flat profile gives a stable footprint, and the soft rubber rolls quietly and stays easy on floors, though the conductive compound can mark a light surface. The stainless steel frame suits wash-down duty. Soft rubber holds the load class modest, so static control leads. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
