Specify this 5-inch polyurethane rigid for the trailing corners of a loaded institutional cart in constant use, the fixed non-marking caster on a ball bearing that holds a straight line under traffic.
This is the high-traffic rigid partner for a 5-inch polyurethane swivel: the firm HI-TECH polyurethane tread carries a load above rubber without flat-spotting and leaves no mark, the ball bearing rolls smooth through constant starts and stops, and the leg is fixed so the cart tracks straight. A loaded four-wheel cart needs rigid casters at the back to push true while the front swivels, and on four swivels it crabs and fights the operator. The top plate bolts to a flat frame, and the 5-inch diameter clears thresholds.
