About This Caster - 62TM08407S
Choose this 8-inch phenolic swivel for a heavy cart that rolls long distances over an oily shop floor, where you need high load and oil resistance but not the weight and floor-marking of a cast iron wheel.
The hard molded phenolic wheel carries a high load without deforming and shrugs off the oil and grease that swell rubber and polyurethane, rated to 250°F. The 8-inch diameter rolls over rough floor and long runs with less effort than a smaller wheel, and the wider 2-1/2-inch tread spreads the load. The roller bearing carries the weight under the swivel.
Ideal applications
- Heavy shop carts on long oily-floor routes, to 250°F
- Machine-shop and assembly rigs that need high load over distance, hard floor
- Loaded transport where phenolic beats cast iron on weight, multi-shift
Skip phenolic if the floor runs near 800°F or takes dropped loads; a cast iron or ductile iron 62 Series wheel handles the higher heat and impact.
