About This Caster - 62FR05201S
Choose this 5-inch 62 Series swivel for the front of a heavy hot cart that has to turn often, the ductile iron round-tread caster whose forged wheel takes the impact while the crowned tread pivots easily where a flat iron tread scrubs.
The round crowned tread rides on a narrow contact, so a heavy cast iron cart breaks into a turn with far less effort than a flat tread fights, and the ductile iron is forged to take a hard hit without cracking the way grey iron does. The wheel rolls through heat to 800°F, the roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
