About This Caster - 62FR05201R
Set this 5-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of a heavy hot cart that gets jockeyed in tight bays, the ductile iron round-tread caster whose forged wheel takes the impact while the crowned tread cuts the scrub a flat tread fights.
Grey cast iron cracks on a hard hit and a flat iron tread scrubs hard in a turn; the 62 Series ductile iron wheel is forged to take the shock without cracking and rolls through heat to 800°F, and the round crowned tread rides on a narrow contact that turns easier. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, the rigid fork holds the line, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
