Set this 5-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of a heat-treat or annealing cart, the cast iron caster whose wheel rolls through heat to 800°F where every elastomer melts and phenolic chars.

Rubber gives by 180°F and phenolic chars past 250°F; the 62 Series cast iron wheel carries the highest industrial load and rolls through radiant heat to 800°F, which a heat-treat line needs at the rear. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, the rigid fork holds the line, and the 5-inch diameter clears a thick hot-shop seam. The 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
