About This Caster - 170SE04201SFBB
Choose this 4-inch Empire 170 swivel with an FBB face brake and roller bearing when a heavy cart steers in open space and has to stay put when parked.
The FBB brake is the wider-radius face-brake style, pressing a shoe against the wheel to hold a loaded cart on its spot. The wheel is solid elastomer, a tough rubber-like compound that absorbs shock and runs quietly without going flat, grey and non-marking on finished floors. The roller bearing is built for heavier sustained pushing and shrugs off shock loads, and at 4 inches the caster carries up to 1,000 pounds and takes -40 to 230°F. The swivel turns on a kingpinless welded raceway with no central pin to loosen, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a low 5-5/8-inch mount height, and is zinc plated.
