About This Caster - 170SE04201R
Choose this 4-inch Empire 170 rigid with a roller bearing when a straight-line cart needs a cushioned, floor-friendly wheel built for steady heavy pushing.
The wheel is solid elastomer, a tough rubber-like compound that absorbs shock and runs quietly without ever going flat like a pneumatic tire. It is grey and non-marking, so it protects finished floors, and the roller bearing is built for heavier sustained pushing and stands up to shock loads better than a ball bearing. At 4 inches it carries up to 1,000 pounds, takes -40 to 230°F, and the rigid fork tracks straight only on a kingpinless welded raceway. It bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a low 5-5/8-inch mount height with a zinc-plated finish.
