Set this 8-inch Empire 170 rigid on a fixed corner of the heaviest economical cart that crosses the worst floors on a long haul.

At 8 inches, the largest in this line, the AX build carries up to 1,500 pounds and the wheel clears the biggest obstacles with the least effort. It brings kingpinless durability, with no central kingpin to loosen under shock, to applications where a premium caster would be over-spec. The maroon round-profile polyurethane tread is non-marking and easy-rolling on a lightweight aluminum core. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
