About This Caster - 16CA06201R
Set this 6-inch 16 Series rigid on the back corners of a foundry cart that crosses rough hot floor, the cast iron caster whose wheel rolls through heat to 800°F while the tall diameter bridges the scale and seams of a pour-floor.
Rubber gives by 180°F and phenolic chars past 250°F; the 16 Series cast iron wheel carries the highest load and rolls through radiant heat to 800°F, and the 6-inch diameter bridges scale, slag, and seams that stop a smaller wheel on a foundry floor. The roller bearing carries the load at a walk, the rigid fork holds the line, and the 4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. USA-made for fast shipping.

Skip the cast iron wheel if the floor is finished or noise matters; it marks the floor and runs loud, so a polyurethane 16EG06201R rolls non-marking and quiet under load.
