About This Caster - 110AX04228R
Set this 4-inch polyurethane rigid on the back corners of a heavy cart that gets towed across a finished floor, where a cast iron rigid marks the floor and a swivel wanders behind the pull.
A rigid caster does not pivot, so it tracks straight and holds the line on a towed or pushed run. The tread is polyurethane chemically bonded to a lightweight aluminum core, maroon and non-marking, which carries a heavy load without flat-spotting and rolls quiet on a sealed floor from -40 to 180°F. Albion's 110 Contender brings its heat-treated, kingpinless toughness to the rigid corners, and the precision ball bearing rolls the load smoothly.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of towed carts on finished, mark-sensitive floors
- Straight runs where a swivel would wander behind the pull
- Quiet plant transport where a metal wheel is too loud
