Dual-Function Leveling Design

FootMaster casters solve one of the most persistent problems in machine shops, manufacturing cells, and technical workspaces: how to easily relocate heavy equipment and then lock it in a perfectly level, vibration-dampened position without separate leveling feet and floor anchors. Each FootMaster unit combines a rolling caster with an integrated leveling foot that deploys once the equipment is in its final position, lifting the wheels off the floor and providing stable, adjustable leveling.

Foot Master Casters Buying Guide & FAQ

Each FootMaster unit has a caster wheel for mobility and a threaded leveling pad underneath. To move the equipment, retract the leveling pad so the wheel contacts the floor. To level, turn the adjustment bolt to extend the pad to the floor, which lifts the wheel and transfers the load. The threaded mechanism provides fine-pitch adjustment for precise leveling.

FootMaster leveling casters range from approximately 130 lbs to over 2,200 lbs per unit depending on the model and series. For a machine with four FootMaster casters, total supported weight can exceed 6,000 lbs. Always use the three-caster calculation (total weight divided by three) to determine required per-unit capacity.

Yes, that is exactly what they are designed to do. FootMaster units eliminate the need for separate casters during relocation and separate leveling feet or pads for operation. This reduces component count, simplifies setup, and eliminates the time-consuming process of lifting equipment off casters and onto leveling mounts.

The leveling pads work on concrete (sealed and unsealed), epoxy-coated floors, steel plate, tile, and most other hard industrial surfaces. The rubber or polymer pad surface provides grip and vibration damping on smooth floors. For highly polished or painted floors, the non-marking pad material prevents surface damage.

The operational concept is straightforward. When the leveling pad is retracted, the FootMaster functions as a standard caster, allowing you to roll the equipment wherever it needs to go. Once in position, you extend the leveling pad by turning the adjustment bolt, which lowers a load-bearing foot to the floor. As the foot engages, it lifts the caster wheel off the ground, transferring the full equipment load to the leveling pad. The result is a rigid, floor-anchored stance with fine-pitch leveling adjustment, eliminating the vibration, rocking, and drift that wheels create during operation.

FootMaster casters are available in the GD series and related product lines, with load ratings from approximately 130 lbs to over 2,200 lbs per unit. They serve CNC machines, milling equipment, drill presses, workbenches, server racks, printing presses, packaging equipment, and any heavy machinery that requires both occasional relocation and stable, level operation.
