About This Leveling Mount - SSW-2
Choose the SSW-2 when a mid-weight machine in a wet or sanitary line needs both a wider 1.875-inch foot and full corrosion resistance, so the leveling hardware lasts as long as the equipment it carries.
The 1/2-13 stud and the larger pad come in Stainless Steel for the same reason the smaller SSW-1 does, but the heavier thread matters here: a sanitary machine that gets scrubbed daily sees its mounts loaded and wetted at once, and a coated stud rusts under the nut where you cannot see it until it locks. The stainless thread stays free, so the foot can be re-leveled after a floor settles without cutting the stud out. The pad still articulates to the floor.
Ideal applications
- Dairy or beverage skid leveled on an epoxy floor washed every shift
- Mid-size filler frame in a high-humidity bottling room
- Stainless equipment cart that must read level after a floor reseal
Skip the SSW-2 in a dry shop where stainless is overkill; the steel BSW-2 shares the 1.875-inch swivel base at a lower cost.
Pairs with: the tube-end TE1-1B, whose 1/2-13 brass socket accepts this stud on a hollow stainless leg.
