About This Leveling Mount - MM80243

Choose the MM80243 when a vibrating machine has outgrown a 2-inch foot, a 3-inch cushioned base on the same fine 3/8-24 stud that spreads the load over more elastomer and damps it harder.

More pad area does two things for a noisier machine: it lowers the pressure on the cushion so the rubber lasts, and it gives the elastomer more material to absorb the shake before it reaches the floor. A small isolation pad under a machine that is too heavy for it compresses solid and passes the vibration straight through, which is the quiet way an isolation mount fails. The 3-inch base keeps the cushion working, and the stud sets a stable level.

Ideal applications

• Mid-size pump skid that drums the floor on a bare slab
• Bench grinder or buffer whose imbalance shakes the stand
• Packaging machine with a reciprocating head that walks its legs
