Specify the BNYLB46 when a tall frame on a finished floor needs both reach and a wider footprint, a 4-inch nylon base on the same long 1/2-13 x 6 stud that carries more load and keeps the surface clean.

Going from a 3-inch pad to a 4-inch pad drops the floor pressure, which is what protects a softer finished surface from denting under a tall, top-heavy frame, and keeps the nylon from cold-flowing at a point load. The 6-inch stud still gives the leg the travel to level over a high spot without a shim. A steel pad here would both mark the floor and rust in a damp finished room; the wide nylon foot does neither while it spreads the heavier load.

Ideal applications

• Top-heavy rack on a soft sealed floor that dents under a point load
• Tall mid-weight cabinet leveled over a high spot on tile
• Finished-room frame that loads one corner harder than the rest

Skip the BNYLB46 if the floor slopes under load; a fixed nylon pad rides an edge, so the swivel BSW-2 seats the full face flat.
