Choose this 5-inch HI-TECH polyurethane wheel for the workhorse service cart, the firm maroon tread that ends up under more loaded institutional carts than any other size because it carries the weight, clears thresholds, and rolls easy.
Performa rubber flat-spots under a heavy load; the Colson HI-TECH polyurethane tread bonded to a polypropylene core carries more without setting and stays non-marking on tile and sealed concrete. The 5-inch diameter clears thresholds and rolls long runs with little effort, and the ball bearing keeps that roll smooth under a loaded deck pushed shift after shift.
Ideal applications
- Loaded service and supply carts, multi-shift
- Institutional fleets that flat-spot a rubber wheel
- The default 5-inch size for clearance and easy roll
Skip the polyurethane wheel if the cart works near heat over 180°F or wants a softer ride; a cast iron wheel takes the heat and a Performa rubber 31MB50 cushions the load softer.
