About This Caster - ES8X2PHNCAML

Set this 8-inch phenolic swivel on the steering corners of a heavy dock cart where a long-pedal cam lock is wanted, and the tall wheel still has to bridge dock plates.

The wheel is hard resin-bonded phenolic from Pemco: it carries a heavy load on a small footprint, rolls with low resistance, and shrugs off oil, grease, and solvent from -45°F to 250°F. A cam-action foot brake on a 7-inch pedal locks the wheel with one firm step, the long pedal making it easy to set on the tall wheel, and the 8-inch diameter clears dock plates and broken floor. The swivel turns on a roller bearing, and the brown phenolic wheel bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate.
